04.Conference Reflections

in sum:
engaging. challenging. informing. inspiring.


overview:
flashforward seattle was awesome! it was excellent to experience the new life and vitality that the lynda.com crew put into the conference. i enjoy coming to FF because it is a level playing field where designers, artists, programmers, etc. get together. i came away from the conference refocused and inspired.

a few highlights:
catching the vision for what's coming our way in the next version of flash "blaze". getting insight into some of the synergies that we'll be seeing with the adobe/macromedia merger. watching john davey accept the coveted film festival arrow. lynda setting the tone for the entire event. the game works party and the homestar runner bros playing air guitar. fox sports grill fiesta. i also thoroughly enjoyed spending time in seattle. it is an intriguing city with a down to earth vibe, green fire hydrants, calming vistas of the sea, hip stuff to look at, good sea food and peaceful rain. i was especially stoked on the seattle rain and resulting reflections at night.

photoshopinfocus.com - this is a small site i put together in a couple hours that has photoshop resources, links, etc. sign up for a monthly newsletter with podcasts, tutorials, tips and tricks. one of these days i'll actually design the site but for now it has some helpful info.
